This is a cubic panorama generated at the sixteenth, and last, camp at Galeswor. Here we are looking back on the Annapurna range whith Dhaulagiri round to the left. Looking south is the end of our trek at Beni where we caught the bus back to Pokhara. Use the buttons below the view to change camps. Alternatively, go back to the map. All these panoramas were rendered in World Construction set 6 with a landsat overlay. The data is 90m DEMS patched by Jonathan de Ferranti (see "Rendered Hills" page).Use the mouse to swing the camera around and <Shift> and <Ctrl> to zoom in and out. The buttons along the bottom allow for these actions as well as auto rotate and the button to the right will give a very good full screen view, in this mode use the buttons for zooming. IE does not seem to handel this as well as Firefox3. The compass in the top right also shows the field of view. The path lines are derived from GPS tracks taken at the time. Blue was morning and red afternoon. The output was generated with Pano2VR from Gardengnomesoftware. |
