Bhratang Panorama

previous
next

This is a cubic panorama generated at the seventh camp at Bhratang beyond which the valley widens out as it is glacially formed. Compare this with the steep sided valley behind to the east. The initial view is looking upstream with Chulu East in the distance. Swing to the left and you will see Annapurna 2 (7939m). Swing a little right (north) and there is Pisang Peak.

Use the buttons below the view to change camps. Alternatively, go back to the map.

All these panoramas were rendered in World Construction set 6 with a landsat overlay. The data is 90m DEMS patched by Jonathan de Ferranti (see "Rendered Hills" page).Use the mouse to swing the camera around and <Shift> and <Ctrl> to zoom in and out. The buttons along the bottom allow for these actions as well as auto rotate and the button to the right will give a very good full screen view, in this mode use the buttons for zooming. IE does not seem to handel this as well as Firefox3. The compass in the top right also shows the field of view. The output was generated with Pano2VR from Gardengnomesoftware.
